He has prepared and prosecuted numerous patent applications directed to a wide range of technologies, including computer software and hardware, near field communication, medical imaging, telecommunications, and business methods. Mr. Wooten works with a diverse base of clients, including members of the Fortune 500, startups, universities, and individual inventors.
Mr. Wooten earned his B.S. in Computer Science, summa cum laude, at North Carolina State University and his J.D. with honors at the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was a staff member of the North Carolina Law Review and the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Wooten served as an officer in the United States Navy and worked in information technology for an aerospace wire manufacturer. Mr. Wooten is admitted to the State Bar of North Carolina and is registered to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.Mr. Wooten practices in the Washington, DC office of Banner & Witcoff, Ltd.
