• "When I joined the firm 25 years ago, I joined because the firm was an oasis of right-mindedness about professionalism, camaraderie, attention to advancing the careers of associates, and balance between high professional achievement and personal life. I actually said to friends outside the firm at the end of my first day that firm lawyers and staff must have thought I was somebody else, they'd treated me so well. All these years and changes later, we are still an oasis. We achieve great things, in a firm of tradition and pride, and we achieve them fairly, professionally, having fun doing what we do, and making sure newer lawyers get as many opportunities as we did. Personally, I love getting young lawyers their first witnesses in jury trials. One recently presented our inventor, and did a great job, one he'll always remember.
