James Callahan advises clients on a diverse selection of intellectual property matters, including patent advisory opinions on validity and infringement, trademark procurement, licensing, and enforcement. His practice particularly emphasizes all aspects of trademark law, especially in the areas of consumer products, foods and beverages.

Mr. Callahan earned his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and his J.D. degree from Loyola University in Chicago.

He is a member of both the Illinois and Massachusetts bars. In addition, Mr. Callahan is a member of the American Bar Association and the Federal Circuit Bar Association.

Mr. Callahan practices in the Chicago office of Banner & Witcoff, Ltd.
