Robert S. Katz is named as one of the "Top 50 Under 45" intellectual property attorneys by IP Law & Business.

Managing Intellectual Property
The February 2008 issue of Managing Intellectual Property ranks Banner & Witcoff, Ltd. as a top U.S. patent prosecution firm and as a first tier patent prosecution firm in the Midwest.

Jon O. Nelson has been named amongst the "World's Leading Trade Mark Law Practitioners" by Managing Intellectual Property in the March 2008 issue.

Super Lawyers
Illinois -- Eight attorneys from the Chicago office of Banner & Witcoff, Ltd. were named "Illinois Super Lawyers" by Law and Politics in 2008. They include Marc S. Cooperman, Linda Kuczma, Timothy C. Meece, Janice V. Mitrius, Jon O. Nelson, Thomas K. Pratt, Christopher J. Renk and Charles W. Shifley. The Super Lawyers list represents the top five percent of attorneys in the state.

Five attorneys were also named "Illinois Rising Stars" by Law and Politics in 2008. They include Matthew P. Becker, Aimee B. Kolz, Erik S. Maurer, Jason S. Shull and Richard S. Stockton.

Washington -- Joseph M. Potenza is named a "Washington D.C. Super Lawyer" by Law and Politics in 2008. The Super Lawyers list represents the top five percent of attorneys in the state.

Corporate Counsel
In the 2007 Corporate Counsel magazine survey of "Who Represents America's Biggest Companies," Banner & Witcoff is again named a top choice for IP litigation and patent prosecution. Researchers at the magazine searched patent and trademark filings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to find which firms represented the Fortune 250 for patent prosecution and litigation.

The November 2007 issue of IP Law & Business names Banner & Witcoff, Ltd. as one of the top U.S. law firms protecting intellectual property for the world’s 50 most innovative companies. “Who Protects Innovation in America” reports which U.S. law firms are prosecuting patents and litigating intellectual property cases in the United States for companies identified by BusinessWeek and the Boston Consulting Group as “The World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies”. Banner & Witcoff tops the list for patent prosecution work with clients like Microsoft, Nokia, NIKE, AT&T, and Amgen. Overall the firm ranked in the top five for all prosecution and litigation work.

Lawdragon.com named 19 attorneys from the Chicago office of Banner & Witcoff, Ltd. to their list of the 3000 Leading Lawyers in America. Mark T. Banner was named to the 500 Leading Lawyers in America list.

Washingtonian Magazine
Joseph M. Potenza is recognized as a "Top Lawyer" in the area of Intellectual Property law in the December 2007 issue of Washingtonian magazine. The list names the top 1% of the Washington area's leading lawyers, determined by peer recommendations, in 28 specialty areas of law.
