Banner & Witcoff, Ltd. Teams with the Head Start Association

When Banner & Witcoff decided to make dress casual a firm policy, it asked its attorneys and staff to donate some of the business clothes they would no longer be using to those in need. The firm then turned to the National Head Start Association and donated the work clothes to Head Start's "Welfare to Work" program.

With offices in Chicago, Washington, D.C., Boston and Portland, Oregon, the firm wanted a national alliance that could benefit from the broad outreach they could provide. The firm was pleased to make a formal presentation at a press conference set up by the United Planning Organization, a community action agency operating numerous programs including Head Start.

The firm's donation yielded more than 250 suits, business attire and accessories from its four offices. It is the firm's hope this event and partnership will inspire and influence other law firms who have gone to dress casual policies to "follow suit."
